Mrs Jones places 3 orders of t-shirts. each order has 16 boxes and each box hold 16 shirts. how many shirts are there total.. using partial product

First you do 16 x 16 = 96 + 160 = 256. And this is how much is in each box. Then you do 256 x 3 = 768. Meaning there are 768 t-shirts total.
