If NeNe tripled the amount, it means they multiplied the amount by 3.
5.25 times 3 = 15.75 cups of sugar
If 4.46 cups spilled out (subtract) from the whole batch (15.75),
15.75 - 4.46 = 11.29 cups of sugar remain in the bowl
