Chandragupta Maurya was the king of the Maurya Empire Of India..
Around 305 B.C.E, Alexander the Great led several military campaigns to conquer the territories across middle and South Asia.
But when Alexander finished and start to return to the west, the defense from the newly taken territories became significantly weaker and Chandragupta led several campaigns to retake them.
