Please explain your answer.

Geno had a gift card for $40. He bought a DVD for $19.50. He spent the remaining amount of two video games. To find the cost of each video game, he used the following steps.
40.00 - 19.50 = 20.50
20.50 divide 2 = 10.25
Each video game cost $10.25.
Geno now wants to write and equation to solve the problem. He let g = cost for a video game
Which equation can be used to find the cost of each video game?
A) 2g = 19.5
B) 2g + 40 = 19.5
C) 2g - 19.5 = 40
D) 19.5 + 2g = 40
