Explanation:

Given :


y=x-4\\y=-x+6

Solution :

Equation 1 : y=x-4

Equation 2 : y = -x+6

We will use substitution method

Putting the value of y from equation 1 in equation 2


x-4 = -x+6


x+x= 6+4


2x=10


x=(10)/(2)


x=5

Now substituting value of x in equation 1 to get value of y


y=x-4


y=5-4


y=1

Thus the solution of given system of equations is (5,1)
