How did the development of railroad advance the industrial revolution??

Railroads where one of the only few reasons why the industrial revolution was so successful. Railroads allowed vasts amount of cargo to pass throughout the states to different destinations. As expected, when you have railroads you have railways, conductors, and so on. This means that railroads had both a direct and indirect effect on the advance of the industrial revolution.
