Refer to the diagram attached for the graph of the two functions. (I used Maxima for generating the graph). The blue line represents f(x) while the red line is g(x).
The solution to the equation f(x)=g(x) is simply the point of intersection of the two graphs. Algebraically solving we can get its exact value:
ANSWER:
The solution to the equation f(x) = g(x) is (2,5)
