I need some serious help with this, please answer it and not put random things!

Which of the sets of ordered pairs represents a function?

A = {(1, −5), (8, −5), (8, 7), (2, 9)}

B = {(7, −4), (7, −2), (6, −3), (−9, 5)}

- Only A

- Only B

-Both A and B

-Neither A nor B

Answer:

-Neither A nor B

Explanation:

If the "x" value is repeated among the ordered pairs, the relation is not a function.

A: there are 2 instances of (8, _)

B: there are 2 instances of (7, _)

Since both these relations have repeated x values, neither is a function.
