A company was $10,890 in debt at the beginning of July. If the company's debt had been reduced to $4,350 by the end of July, how much of its debt did the company pay off throughout the month?

if the company was in debt by 10,890.....and the debt has been reduced to 4350..

then the company payed off : 10890 - 4350 = 6540 <== so they paid off
6540.....or 6540/10890 = 60% of the debt
