There are several to reduce the risk of SIDS. These includes:
1) Placing an infant to sleep on his/her back
2) Never place feeding bottle in their mouth to sleep (instead a pacifier is best)
3) Avoid soft mattress, instead use firm mattress and sheets that fit tightly
4) Do not place toys, pillows or anything extra in the infant's crib
5) Keep infant's room at a comfortable temperature, so not to cold or hot and in addition, keep the room well-ventilated.
