A tractor is used to plant corn for 9 hours and produces 75 Hp. The operator reported that 42 gallons of fuel were used while operating in 6th gear. Calculate Hp-Hr./gallon.

What you must do in this case is to multiply and divide each of the given values according to what is indicated in the given expression.
We have then:
Hp-Hr./gallon=((75)*(9))/(42)=16.07
answer:
Hp-Hr./gallon=16.07
