The equation for the area of a circle is,

a = \pi * {r}^(2)

But first we need to find the radius. Simply divide the diameter by 2 to get the radius.

5 ÷ 2 = 2.5

So our radius in this case is 2.5 feet.

Substitute the number,

a = \pi * {2.5}^(2)

Solve for the square,

a = \pi * 6.25

A ≈ 19.63 ft^2

I hope that helps you out!!

Answer:

r = 2.5 ft
C = 15.707963267949 ft
A = 19.634954084936 ft²

Area of a circle:

A = πr² = πd²/4
