heyyyy, the answer is The answer is D:  A struggle for existence is apparent. During the struggle for existence natural selection favors the fittest individuals that can survive and thrive in the struggle, is fittest and is able not only to survive but propagate/reproduce thereby passing the fittest genes to offspring. Hope this helps.
