In the given figure , we have two triangles ΔABC and ΔXYZ such that the corresponding sides of both the triangles are proportional.

i.e.
(AB)/(XY)=(BC)/(YZ)=(AC)/(XZ)

Then by SSS-similarity criteria , we have

ΔABC ≈ ΔXYZ
