Hello there!

-4(2x + 5) + 34 > 4(-x + 3) - 2x

We need to use the distributive form

(-4)(2x) + (-4)(5) + 34 > (4)(-x) + (4)(3) - 2x

-8x - 20 + 34 > -4x + 12 - 2x

-8x + 14 > -6x + 12

Add -14 on both sides

-8x + 14 - 14 > -6x + 12 - 14

-8x > -6x - 2

Add 6x on both sides

-8x + 6x > -6x + 6x - 2

-2x > -2

Divide both sides by -2

(-2x)/-2 > -2/-2

Since we divided by a negative number, we must change this > to this < got it?

Thus,

The answer is x < 1

I really hope this helps!

As always, it is my pleasure to help people like you!
