Answer:

Sex is a label that is assigned to you when you are born. Male or female - those are sexes. On the other hand, Gender is more of self-perception and attitude or just how you're expected to act. Now it's more complex since we have lgbtq+ but that's not exactly a bad thing. It's more of like a variety of genders where you're free to choose what you think fits you best.

To put it simply, sex is something you can't change, gender is something you CAN change, only if you want to though.
