The answer to that is -4. Start at -6 on a number line, then count -2 left. - is left, so just count left. Your answer will be -4. It's also basically 6-2, then add a negative sign.

- (-2) = 2
* two negatives = one positive
-6 + 2 = -4
-4 is your answer
