1. The probability to select a Shirley's name from the list of names:
Shirley, Shane, Shawn, and Shandra is 1/4 (choose one name from 4 names).
2. The die has 6 numbers on its faces: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Thre numbers are odd and three numbers are even. Then probability to roll even number is 3/6=1/2.
3. Use the product rule to determine
the probability that you will randomly select a Shirley's name from the list and then roll an even number on a number cube:
