27 + 14 + 9 = 50.
so 27/50 would equal 270 pizzas. Hope it helps!

Answer:

The expected number of pizza servings is 270.

Explanation:

Food Item Preferred Number of Students

pizza 27

cheeseburger 14

salad bar 9

Now we have been given that Fifty students were randomly selected to take part in a survey about their favorite school lunch. The school will be serving 500 lunches;

This means 10% of the total lunches or students were selected. So, if 27 students prefer pizza this means its 10 times will be needed for the whole lot making it
27*10=270 pizzas.

Similarly, 140 cheeseburgers and 90 salad bars will be served making a tital of =
270+140+90=500 lunches.
