In an experiment you are to flip a two sided coin 100 times and record 55 heads up and 45 tails up. Determine the theoretical and experimental probability of getting a heads up in the experiment.

1. theoretical = ; experimental =
2. theoretical = ; experimental =
3. theoretical = ; experimental =
4. theoretical = ; experimental =

Theoretical probability
Heads = 1/2
Tail = 1/2
Expiramental probability
Heads = 11/20
Tails = 9/20

Suppose a bag consist of 10 balls =5 green + 5 red, drawing a ball from the bag, when you do it 10 times with replacement , you will say that, if i draw balls from the bag 10 times, 5 times green ball will come, and 5 times red ball will occur. So this is theoretical probability.

But i actual there may be difference. Green may come 6 or 4 times and red will occur 4 or 6 times. So this is experimental probability.

When number of draws increases, there are chances that

theoretical probability = experimental probability

Coming to question,

A two sided coin tossed 100 times and record 55 heads up and 45 tails up.

Theoretical probability of coming head
=(50)/(100)=(1)/(2)

Theoretical probability of coming tail
=(50)/(100)=(1)/(2)

Experimental probability of coming head
=(55)/(100)=(11)/(20)

Experimental probability of coming tail
=(45)/(100)=(9)/(20)
