In an ecosystem with four levels—producers, primary consumers, and two higher-level consumers—describe where the decomposers operate within the context of these trophic levels. Provide at least two examples.

So decomposers break down dead plants and animals. Let's say a bear were to kill a coyote. Once the coyote is dead, the decomposers are going to break down the dead animal. They don't really play a huge part in the two levels, except that they break down the dead animals.
