add (8x-2y)+(4x+4y-6)


A 12 x + 2 y - 6


B 12 x - 6 y - 6


C 12 x - 2 y - 6


D 14 x y - 6

collect like terms which will be
(8x+4)- (2y+4y-6)=
12x-2y-6

I think that A. 12x+2y-6 is the answer, because 8+4 is 12 and -2+4 is 2 and there is nothing to combine with the 6.
