300 - 270 = 30

so the angles is in the third quadrant and adjacent and opposite side are negative so tan 300 = tan 30 = 1 / sqrt3 = sqrt3 / 3

Answer with explanation:

→0°≤Angle≤90°⇒First Quadrant

→90°≤Angle≤180°⇒Second Quadrant

→180°≤Angle≤270°⇒Third Quadrant

→270°≤Angle≤360°⇒Fourth Quadrant

Angle 300°, lies in fourth Quadrant. In Fourth Quadrant , only cosine and Secant of any angle is positive. All other trigonometric ratios are negative.

\rightarrow\tan 300^(\circ)=\tan (360^(\circ)-60^(\circ))\\\\= -\tan60^(\circ)\\\\=-√(3)

Option A

negative square root of three
