ecological systems theory
Bronfenbrenner's ecological systems theory basically states that various factors internal and external to a child influence his or her development and growth, both physically and psychologically. One of the factors that influence a child's growth and development is the way parents relate to him or her and treat him or her differently as he or she grows in age.
