The correct answer is hydrolysis.

Hydrolysis refers to a term used for both a biological one and an electrochemical procedure. The biological hydrolysis refers to the breaking of biomolecules where a molecule of water is utilized to influence the differentiation of a larger molecule into its constituent parts.

Hydrolysis can be the opposite of a condensation reaction in which two molecules are combined together into a bigger one and remove a molecule of water. Thus, hydrolysis supplements water to dissociate, on the other hand, condensation builds up by withdrawing water and any other solvents.
