Answer is: canoe's kinetic energy is 136 J.
m(canoe) = 17 kg.
v (speedcanoe) = 4 m/s.
E(canoe's kinetic energy) = ?
E = 1/2 · m(canoe) · v²(canoe).
E = 0,5 · 17 kg · 16 m²/s².
E = 136 J.
The kinetic energy of a non rotating object of mass m traveling at a speed v. The standard unit of kinetic energy is the joule.
