The formula for the area on a circle is pi x radius squared.
So by estimating, 8x8 = 64.
64 x 3 is about 200. So the area is estimated to be 201in^2

Answer:

The best approximation is
201.0\ in^(2)

Explanation:

we know that

The area of the circle is equal to

A=\pi r^(2)

In this problem we have

r=8\ in

\pi =3.14

substitute

A=(3.14)(8^(2))=201.0\ in^(2)
