molarity is mole divided by volume in litres.
0.5mol divide by 0.5L = 1M

Answer : The molarity of solution is, 1 mole/L

Explanation : Given,

Moles of
Cu(NO_3)_2 =
(1)/(2)mole

Volume of water =
(1)/(2)L

Molarity : It is defined as the number of moles of solute present in one liter of solution.

Formula used :

Molarity=\frac{\text{Moles of }Cu(NO_3)_2}{\text{Volume of solution}}

Now put all the given values in the above formula, we get the molarity of the solution.

Molarity=((1)/(2)mole)/((1)/(2)L)=1mole/L

Therefore, the molarity of solution is, 1 mole/L
