First, find the slope of the line y = -3x + 7
the slope is the coefficient of x divided by coefficient of y
m = -3/1
m = -3

Second, because the line we're looking for is parallel, it has the same slope as the line y = -3x + 7
m = -3

Third, find the line equation with the formula
y - y₁ = m(x - x₁)
y - (-4) = -3(x - 2)
y + 4 = -3x + 6
y = -3x + 6 - 4
y = -3x + 2

The answer is option d
