Cellular respiration is a process in which energy is generated by burning of glucose in presence of oxygen.

The energy generated during cellular respiration is used to carry of different cellular functions .

During this process along with energy, carbon dioxide (CO2) and water vapors are also generated,

The process can be represented as follows.

Glucose + Oxygen ------> Carbon dioxide + water + Energy

C_(6)H_(12) O_(6) + O_(2) -------> CO_(2) + H_(2) O+ Energy

Therefore, Glucose ( C₆H₁₂O₆) is a reactant, along with oxygen, in cellular respiration
