So to find the original number we know that 20% of the unknown number is 35 and there is 5, 20% in 100%. So do 35*5 which is 175. Now we have to find 1/2 or 50% of 175 so divide it by 2. 175/2
Your Answer is 87.5

Here is what I did to find the answer:
20% of n is 3520% * n = 3520/100 * n = 35n = 35 * 100 / 20n = 175
50% of 175 = 50% * 175 = 50/100 * 175 = 87.5
The correct answer would be 87.5.
