A, because in that case, it makes it sound like the dog has purple and pink spots.

The first one that says, "Mr. Sargent bought a sweater for his dog with purple and pink spots." The way it is worded makes it sound as if the dog has purple and pink spots; not the sweater. It should be more like, "Mr. Sargent bought a purple and pink-spotted sweater for his dog."
