Plug in the values.

3x^2-2y

3*3^2-2(5)
3*9-10
27-10
17

Next one.

2x^2-3y

2*3^2-3(5)
2*9-15
18-15
3

17-3= 15

The value of 3x^2-2y exceeds 2x^2-3y by 15.

I hope this helps!
