This is false, as nuclear plants produced 11% of the worlds energy as of 2014. Hopefully this helps a little

Answer:

The statement is false.

Step-by-step explanation:

  • As of 2009, more than 80% of the total world energy was being received from fossil fuels. Whereas, the source for more than 10% of total energy was biofuels.
  • On the other hand, the energy produced from renewable means like wind, hydro, solar and geothermal resources only made up 5% of the total world energy production.
  • The contribution of nuclear power in the production of total world energy as of 2019 was less than 5%.
