1.) Sum the items or the class' frequencies:
33 + 1,111 + 1,616 + 77 + 22 = 2859
2.) Divide each class' frequency by the total frequency:
a = 33/2859
= .012
b = 1,111/2859
= .389
c = 1,616/2859
= .565
d = 77/2859
= .027
e = 22/2859
= .008
3.) Therefore, the relative frequencies of each class are as follows:
a = .012
;
b = .389
;
c =.565
;
d = .027
;
e =.008
