1) you can divide both 10 and six by 2 so you’d be left with 5y^7/ 3y^2

2) subtract the y^2 from the y^7 to get y^5

3) leave the y^5 on the top because y^7 was the bigger exponent and it was on the top in the beginning.

4) the answer is 5y^5/3
