4x+6=9x-9 Does x=3

I was sick with the flue and I need some one to explain what to do please

Yes, x=3. Remember this, DCVNS, it stands for D-istribute, C-ombine like terms, (Move) V-ariables to the LEFT, (Move) N-umbers to the RIGHT, S-olve.
Or to remember it, just put it this way, "Dumpster Contain Very Nasty Stuff" (Thats the trick our teacher made us use).
Alright, now on to the Equation.

So it says, 4x+6=9x-9, now remembering DCVNS, -4x -4x

6=5x-9

+9 +9

15=5x
5 5

3=x

x=3 ANSWER.

yes, you put the numbers on one side and x on the other
4x+6=9x-9
6=5x-9
15=5x
3=x
