Answer:

Aunt Alexandra holds orthodox ideologies and believes that these ideologies should be visible in Scout and Jem’s attitude. However Aunt Alexandra is always critical about the families in the Maycomb and their obsession with the family status.

Jem finds it ironical because of the condescending comments and the notions she herself perceives. She tries really hard to impose social expectations on the Scout to maintain the old Finch pride by bringing the idea of feminine behavior in the story.
