Answer: The mass of benzene is 87.87 grams

Explanation:

To calculate mass of a substance, we use the equation:

\text{Density of substance}=\frac{\text{Mass of substance}}{\text{Volume of substance}}

We are given:

Density of benzene =
0.8787g/ml

mass of benzene = ?

Volume of benzene = 0.1000L = 100ml
1L=1000mL

Putting values in above equation, we get:

0.8787g/ml=\frac{\text{Mass of benzene}}{100ml}

Mass of benzene = 87.87g

Hence, the mass of benzene is 87.87 grams
