Generally, the pink and blue toys are associated with  and meant to signify gender. Pink toys, or toys in the pink aisle, are marketed exclusively towards girls, while the blue toys are marketed towards boys. This system serves to enforce gender differences through conformance to traditional gender stereotypes.
