How to calculate the measure of line WR and RT?

The measure of line WR is calculated by applying the following formula as shown below for similar triangles.

RT / VT = WR / SW

The given parameters include;

RT = 2x + 6

VT = 10

WR = x + 6

SW = 8

(2x + 6) / 10 = ( x + 6 )/8

8 (2x + 6) = 10 (x + 6)

16x + 48 = 10x + 60

16x - 10x = 60 - 48

6x = 12

x = 12 / 6

x = 2

The length of WR = x + 6

WR = 2 + 6

WR = 8

The length of RT = 2x + 6

RT = 2(2) + 6

RT = 10
