The complement would be 90 -49.7 degrees (note: not " % ").
The supplement would be 180 - 49.7 degrees.

The measure of angle p is 49.7 degree . find the measure of the complement and supplement of angle p.

Two angles are said to be complementary if their sum is equal to 90 degrees

One angle = 49.7 degrees

Another angle = x

Complementary angles

x + 49.7 = 90

Subtract 49.7 on both sides

x = 40.3 degrees

Measure of complement of angle P is 40.3 degrees

Two angles are said to be supplementary if their sum is equal to 180 degrees

One angle = 49.7 degrees

Another angle = x

Supplementary angles

x + 49.7 = 180

Subtract 49.7 on both sides

x = 130.3 degrees

Measure of supplement of angle P is 130.3 degrees
