After the Big Bottom Massacre took place in 1791, conflicts continued in the Northwest Indian Wars. Violent outbreaks between settlers and American Indians occurred in Kentucky and territories west of Ohio.

This continued until the aboriginal American tribes were finally defeated in the Battle of Fallen Timbers, in 1794.
