What is the least common denominator of the fraction 3 x over x plus 1 plus the fraction x plus 1 over 2 x plus the fraction 5 over x?

Answer:

2x(x + 1)

Explanation:

The three denominators we have are:

x+1;

2x; and

x.

If we have a denominator that 2x will go into, x will also go into it.

The first thing that both 2x and x+1 will go into is 2x(x+1); they have no factors in common so their product will be the least common multiple, or least common denominator.
