perimeter = (side length)(4)
12x + 52 = s4
(12x + 52)/4 = s
3x+13=s

The perimeter of a square is the sum of its sides.
Then the perimeter is
P = 4L
Clearing the side we have:
L = (P / 4)
L = (12x + 52) / 4
L = 3x + 13
answer:
The side length of the square is 3x + 13 units
