Lee believes that separating into two countries is the best path for both North and South( B); actually Lee did not want the secession but he was a great defender of slavery and the general order of things in the South. Although he was deemed to have a special loyalty for Virginia, once his state joined the Confederacy Lee tried to obtain its independence as a whole.
