To find equation of the line we need to find out the slope and y intercept

Y intercept is the point where the graph crosses y axis.

In the graph , y intercept is (0,1). so we can also say y intercept is 1.

Now we find out the slope

To find slope we need two points

Lets pick two points from the graph

(0,1) and (-2,4)

Slope m =
(y_2-y_1)/(x_2 - x_1) =
(4-1)/(-2 - 0)

m =
(-3)/(2)

Now we find the equation of the line.

We use y= mx + b

Where m is the slope ( we got m =
(-3)/(2))

and b is the y intercept ( y intercept is 1 we got)

Replace the values in y=mx+b

y =
(-3)/(2) x + 1

The equation graphed in the figure is y =
(-3)/(2) x + 1
