The number of carrots, c, in terms of the number of peas, p, is thus calculated at 2p-4. The '-4' represents the four less, while the 2p denotes twice the number of peas.

Given that the number of carrots, c is 4 less than twice the number of peas, p, then:
twice the number of peas will be:
2×p=2p
four less than twice p will be:
2p-4
therefore the expression will be:
c=2p-4
the answer is 2. 2p-4.
