using the identity cos(2x) = 2 cos^2x - 1
18 + 9(2 cos^2 x - 1) = 27 cos x
18cos^2 x - 27 cos x + 9 = 0
2 cos^ x - 3 cos x + 1 = 0
(2 cos x - 1 )(cos x - 1 ) = 0
cos x = 1/2 , 1
x = pi/3, 5pi/3, 0, 2pi answer
