Let's have x be the number of children tickets and 2x will be the adults. Now we can set up the following equation:
5.4x+8.9(2x)=626.4
Expand this out:
5.4x+17.8x=626.4
Combine like terms:
23.2x=626.4
Divide both sides by 23.2 to get x=27
